Bukhansan National Park (북한산국립공원) is one of the most famous in Korea. One reason is it’s proximity to Seoul.
The park sits on the northwest corner of Seoul, providing millions of Koreans, and adventurous foreigners, a multitude of hiking options.
The trail I took was a 2.4 km climb to Bogungmun, a gate in the wall of Bukhansanseong (Bukhan Mountain Fortress). The air was crisp, the leaves were changing and the view was incredible. I moved here for the hiking and I got what I came for.
The best part is there are still numerous trails left to explore on Bukhansan.
