We had a really harsh winter a few years ago. Snow, high winds, and freezing rain made for a few interesting days. At one point, my car was completely encased in about a 1/4″ of ice. It took me over an hour to chip it off my door, start the car, and chip it off the windshield so I could drive home. It was nuts.
These photos were taken at the Washougal River (in Washington State) shortly after the worst of the storm passed.
In the summer, this is a very popular river to swim in. There are places to park all along the river but make sure you’re not on private property.
