Cape Horn Trail is probably one of the newest of the Columbia River Gorge hiking trails.
My Mom and I went out there and hiked the upper part of the trail. Out and back it was roughly 8-miles. From February 1st through July 15th, a large section of the trail is closed so peregrine falcons can nest in peace. From the overlooks, we could see a few flying around which is fun to watch.
The trail itself was surprisingly good, it was steep enough to make me sweat but not too steep for Mom.
